Two Chances

~Deana J. Tavares

Twice a day

An empty canvas

Unravels before us

 Once again

Mornings radiant light

Unfolds

Another palette

At days end

Light reveals

All

Ricocheting

Between silhouettes

Steady climb

A gentle

Fall

The arc of it

The crack

A shift

Reconnecting again

Then a split

Skating upon water

Patterns displayed

Dissected again

Trembling rays

Another chance

To savor the salt

Ride the break

Mist-filled stories

Wide in wakes

Multiplying exponentially

Squinting of eyes

Occupying

All corners

Then

Every

Side
