Finally the long journey of creating these two girls is complete. Now they exist fully within the world. So much takes place in between the starting point and the completion of a painting. So much inspiration, so many sunrises, and sunsets.

Life continues to circle. There’s connection, grief, love, exploration, and adventure. These two pieces wanted to remain together through it all as so much creative inspiration circled back and forth between them, and a third emerged before these were even completed. Major life changes occurred over these many months, a great deal of uncertainty, a pandemic, social injustice, along with a great deal of creativity. I’m grateful for the nature, music, and poetry that flows through my canvases. I’m also thankful for the beautiful inspiring loving individuals all around me bringing even more light into my life. After these many months I’m remaining hopeful and continuing to paint new worlds. Stay tuned! ~Peace, jummyjeenz / Deana J. Tavares

The sun rises and sets as new ideas emerge upon a blank canvas.
